If you visit Lowe's or Home Improvement Depot, you can buy the kits for installing a new shower. New showers enhance the bathrooms appearance and improve the equity of your home.

To get started purchase the materials, or shower kit. The kit will include shower flooring, shower walls, curtains, and/or doors. It will also include showerheads and faucet.

You will need your own tools, since the kit may not have the tools included. The tools needed are and 3/8 or ½ inch PVC Pipe, Purple Primier, CPVC Cement, Philips Screwdriver, tubing cutter, liquid nails, and Silicon Sealant.

You may need a pipe wrench also. Once you purchase the kit, make sure you follow and read the instructions carefully to avoid complications. To start you will need to shutoff the water throughout the home.

Starting with the floor, make sure the surface is level before beginning installation. Make sure a drain hole is visible.

It is important to install the flooring first. You may also need to run plumbing if it is not apparent any plumbing exists. Make sure that you seat the flooring down in an angle that it matches the drain hole before installing. Next, you can follow the instructions to setup the shower walls and proceed installing the showerheads.

After the walls and showerhead is installed, install the faucets and door and/or curtains.

The installation of showers is more time consuming, rather than complicated. For the most part, it takes one or two days to install the shower properly. It is important to check for leaks, especially before completion of shower kit.

Improving your home will enhance the surrounding and up the value of your home. Thus, leaking showers, or cruddy showers make a home value drop at the same time makes it embarrassing for the homeowner when visitors come to the home.

For the most part a shower kit will cost around $400 give or take. It depends on where you get the kit as to how much it will cost you. It is also wise to check with your local City Hall to find out if you need a permit for installing showers.

Few states prompt homeowners to purchase a building

permit for around $25 before improving the home.

If you fail to purchase the permit in some states, the city will find you. Thus, to save money takes all the precautions before improving your home.

Once you finish installing your shower, you will feel better about your home. If you have a bathtub and shower, you may want to check into new glass doors to enhance the appearance of the living arrangement.

Once your shower is installed, you may want to purchase inexpensive curtains for the bathroom to bring out texture and design. If you are good at sewing, you could make your own curtains for less the price of purchasing curtains.

Bathroom goodies can offset the new appeal. Toothbrush holders, soap dishes, towels, wash clothes, and other goodies could bring out the new appeal. Dollar General Stores and Family Dollar stores often sell these types of goodies for a few dollars.

When you begin using your new shower, make sure you wash it down each time the shower is used. This will help keep a clean and fresh appeal, while minimizing crud.

You may also want to put up a fresh vase of flowers, or artificial flowers to enhance your experience while using your new shower. The flowers will not only setoff the new look, it will also bring forth sunshine to your newly remodeled bathroom.

If you have a bathtub and shower, you may want to check out the kits at Lowe's or other home improvement stores, since deals are available. Bathtubs are a bit more complex to install, since it includes weight. Thus, if you are installing a new bathtub you may want to ask your buddies to give you a hand.

Again, home improvement brings up the self-esteem, confidence and the value of your home. Kits simplify the improvement task, since the kits provide systematic instructions that leave out the constructions provided by contractors. The kits are cost-effective.
